HYDRA has successfully protected approximately 9.05 acres of government land in the Shamshabad Mandal of Ranga Reddy district. Revenue officials stated that the value of this land exceeds Rs 90 crore. While official records indicate that Survey Number 626/2 comprises a total of 176.05 acres of government land, 166 acres of this parcel had previously been allotted to the Forest Development Corporation. Although certain individuals have laid claim to the remaining 9.05 acres, officials have categorically clarified that this land remains government property. This dispute is currently pending adjudication in the High Court.
Despite standing orders from the High Court prohibiting any alteration to the land's physical character or the undertaking of any construction activities until a final verdict is delivered, complaints were received alleging that an individual named Tajammul Moinuddin Khan had leveled the land and converted it into a residential layout. Officials also discovered that he had encroached upon the land by erecting precast boundary walls and had even proceeded to sell several plots within the parcel. Although he was directed to remove the encroachments in accordance with the Land Encroachment Act, he failed to comply with these instructions.
Acting upon complaints lodged by revenue and municipal authorities, HYDRA initiated a special enforcement drive on Wednesday and successfully cleared the encroachments. Subsequently, the land was fenced off, and signboards were erected to clearly designate the property as government land. These measures were executed in the presence of the concerned officials.
