Police have intensified the investigation into the mysterious death of noted Andhra Pradesh writer Boggula Srinivas and are said to be making significant progress. Srinivas was found dead after the car he was travelling in plunged into the Paleru reservoir under Kusumanchi mandal of Khammam district on the 14th of this month. Locals informed police that the driver of the vehicle managed to reach the shore and fled the scene. Acting on this information, Kusumanchi police formed special teams to trace the suspect. Sources indicate that the driver may attempt to surrender before the police in Hyderabad, which could help unravel the case. Authorities are also trying to take the car owner into custody for questioning.
Meanwhile, the postmortem conducted at Nelakondapalli hospital has reportedly revealed crucial findings. Doctors confirmed that Srinivas did not die due to drowning and that there were injuries on his body. The case, which has taken a mysterious turn, is expected to reach a conclusion within the next two days. Police are also probing the business angle, as Srinivas was involved in the cell tower business. Kusumanchi Sub Inspector Nagaraju stated that the investigation has been expedited and that the case will soon be solved, although no arrests have been made so far.
