Supreme Court Pulls Up NTA Over NEET Leak, Seeks Accountability

The Supreme Court expressed serious concern over the NEET paper leak issue and observed that the incident caused immense distress to students and their families. The bench emphasized the importance of transparency and fairness in conducting competitive examinations and advised the National Testing Agency (NTA) to learn from the standards followed by UPSC.

The court further stated that a lack of accountability would only worsen such issues and prevent long-term solutions. It directed the Central Government to file a comprehensive affidavit detailing the measures taken and the reforms planned to strengthen the examination system. The bench stressed the need to restore public confidence in the integrity of national-level examinations.
