

The United States is reportedly incurring massive expenditure due to the ongoing conflict with Iran. According to multiple reports, the US spent approximately 779 million dollars within the first 24 hours of the war, which is nearly ₹6,900 crore in Indian currency. Data from the Center for a New American Security indicates that operating carrier strike groups such as the USS Gerald R. Ford is costing the US heavily, with daily operational expenses running into tens of crores. Significant funds were also spent during the military buildup phase.
The US has reportedly spent around 630 million dollars (about ₹5,556 crore) on deploying aircraft, warships, and other military logistics. Kent Smetters, Director of the Penn Wharton Budget Model, warned that if the conflict continues for several more days, the total expenditure could reach 210 billion dollars (approximately ₹18.87 lakh crore). Meanwhile, the US is also extending substantial financial assistance to Israel amid its conflict with Hamas, providing about 21.7 billion dollars in aid in 2023.
