Air quality in Hyderabad has once again reached dangerous levels. Pollution is increasing in the city due to fog, burning of waste, and emissions from vehicles. The Air Quality Index (AQI), which is usually in double digits, reached 254 in the Balapur area on Saturday morning. Officials stated that while air quality had improved somewhat last week, it has now returned to alarming levels.
Doctors are advising people with respiratory illnesses and conditions like sinusitis to take special precautions. They recommend wearing masks as much as possible when going outside and avoiding unnecessary travel in highly polluted areas. Experts are also urging city residents to voluntarily cooperate in controlling pollution.
