No One Could Portray Sita Better Than Sai Pallavi, Says Dhanush

Actor Dhanush has come out in support of Sai Pallavi amid the recent discussions surrounding her casting as Sita in the upcoming film ‘Ramayana’. Praising her performance, dedication and devotion, he said that no other actress could portray the character better than her. Speaking at the pre-release event of his upcoming film ‘OM’, Dhanush said he was surprised to see the criticism directed at Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita. He recalled that she would spend her breaks during filming in prayer and described her as a deeply devoted person with a pure heart. He also praised her beauty and acting abilities, expressing confidence in her performance as Sita.

Dhanush, who previously shared screen space with Sai Pallavi in ‘Maari 2’, said he was happy to work with her again in ‘OM’. Recalling their first collaboration, he said she was very quiet back then and would speak mainly when the camera was rolling. However, he feels she has since developed a deeper understanding of acting. He praised her expressions and screen presence, adding that portraying Sita is no easy task, but Sai Pallavi had done an excellent job. In ‘OM’, Sai Pallavi will be seen playing Nithya Reddy, a CBI officer. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 20.
