Air pollution levels in Hyderabad have reached a concerning level, with the city recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 321. According to the US AQI scale, this falls under the ‘Hazardous’ category. Data recorded around 8 am on Saturday showed PM2.5 levels at 223 micrograms per cubic metre and PM10 levels at 264 micrograms per cubic metre.

Despite clear weather conditions, the high concentration of particulate matter in the air remains a cause for concern. Residents are advised to remain cautious, particularly those with respiratory conditions. Wearing a suitable mask when outdoors and avoiding outdoor exercise during periods of high pollution can help reduce exposure to polluted air.
