Mollywood Stars Lock Onam Season.. Big Box Office Clash on the Cards!

Every film industry has its own peak release season, and for Mollywood, the Onam festival remains the most lucrative window. Several Malayalam stars are now targeting the festive season with their upcoming releases. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s action thriller is scheduled to hit theatres on August 20, with reports suggesting that Mohanlal will be seen in a key role.

Dulquer Salmaan is also gearing up for the Onam race with ‘I Am Game’, a heist-gambling thriller directed by RDX fame Nahas Hidayath. Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju starrer ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’, directed by Girish A.D., is also expected to arrive during the festive season. With multiple star-led projects eyeing the same release window, Mollywood is set for an exciting box-office battle this Onam.
