The Telugu film industry is witnessing a new generation of actors gradually moving from supporting roles and ensemble films to projects that place them in the lead. Harshith Reddy, Trinadh Varma and Mouli Tanuj Prasanth are among the young performers carving out their own paths with diverse projects. Harshith Reddy first caught the attention of audiences with his role as Ravi in Mail. He later appeared in Tharagathi Gadhi Daati, Arthamainda Arun Kumar and Subham, before getting his first lead opportunity with Deewana. Trinadh Varma made his feature film debut with Committee Kurrollu, which brought together several young actors in a story exploring friendship, village life and generational differences. The film also helped Sandeep Saroj, Yashwanth Pendyala and Eshwar Rachiraju gain wider recognition. Meanwhile, Mouli gained popularity among younger audiences through Hostel Days and 90’s – A Middle Class Biopic, before making a stronger impression with Little Hearts as Akhil.
With their careers entering a crucial phase, the upcoming projects of these actors could play a significant role in shaping their future in the industry. One of the projects drawing attention is Trinadh Varma’s Pocket Rockets. Written and directed by Rudra Atri, the urban drama follows an underprivileged student whose ambition to pursue higher education abroad leads him into gambling. The film is produced by Pink Elephant Pictures in association with Maximum City Studios. Shooting has been completed, and the project is currently in post-production. As these young actors continue to explore lead roles and varied stories, their upcoming films are expected to offer new opportunities to establish their identities in Telugu cinema.
