

King Nagarjuna Akkineni attended the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of ANR College in Gudivada, Krishna district, as the chief guest. The event turned into a memorable occasion for students, faculty members, and staff.
Addressing the gathering, Nagarjuna announced that the Akkineni family will establish a ₹2 crore scholarship fund at ANR College in memory of his parents, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Annapurna Akkineni. He stated that the decision was jointly taken by himself, his sister Sushila, his brother Venkat, and the entire Akkineni family.
Nagarjuna further explained that the family would work closely with the college management to ensure the scholarship fund is implemented in a transparent and effective manner. He recalled that his father had donated ₹1 lakh to the institution many years ago and said continuing that legacy of educational service is a responsibility the family proudly carries forward.
The announcement was met with loud applause from students and faculty members. The gesture highlighted not only the generosity of the Akkineni family but also their long-standing commitment to education and social service.
