Medical experts warn that high blood pressure is not limited to old age and can affect individuals at any stage of life. According to the National Family Health Survey, around 22 percent of boys and 19.4 percent of girls above 15 years are suffering from hypertension, highlighting a growing concern among the younger population.
The risk of high blood pressure is higher among urban residents compared to rural populations, mainly due to lifestyle changes, stress, and unhealthy eating habits. Doctors strongly advise regular blood pressure check-ups from a young age and adopting a healthy lifestyle to prevent complications.
