After the NEET issue, another protest is set to draw attention in the national capital. The Delhi Taxi, Transporters Association and Tour Operators Association have announced a march to Parliament on August 4 to protest against the implementation of E20 ethanol blended petrol. The organisations say they oppose the mandatory use of E20 fuel and want the government to reconsider the policy.
Transport operators and vehicle owners from different parts of the country have expressed concerns that E20 fuel may reduce fuel efficiency, increase maintenance costs, and affect engine performance. They also questioned why consumers should pay higher petrol prices while being supplied with ethanol-blended fuel, urging the Centre to address their concerns.
