Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy said the ruling alliance would challenge Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy politically in Pulivendula and promised to focus on the constituency’s development. He was speaking at an alliance meeting held at Poolangalla Centre in support of TDP candidate Geetha for the Pulivendula municipal chairperson post. Adinarayana Reddy said the alliance had arrived with a clear strategy and would implement its plans, adding that a “triple-engine government” would accelerate development in Pulivendula. He also made remarks about former MLA Rachamallu, drawing a sharp political response.
Pulivendula TDP in-charge B. Tech Ravi criticised Jagan’s comments on unanimous nominations and questioned the YSRCP’s record during its tenure. He alleged that YSRCP leaders were targeting TDP candidates because they were filing nominations. Ravi said he would not be intimidated despite what he described as attempts to harass him, and claimed that Pulivendula’s voters had sent a message to Jagan and the Y.S. family. He added that he would withdraw from the election if residents believed he was acting wrongly. Ravi also promised that alliance leaders would take responsibility for providing house-site pattas and building homes for 3,500 people in Pulivendula.
