Telangana Ministers Meet Karnataka CM Over Water Release to Jurala

A delegation of Telangana ministers and legislators met Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to discuss water requirements in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district. Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari, along with MLAs Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, Madhusudhan Reddy and Megha Reddy, were part of the delegation.

During the meeting, the Telangana representatives discussed the need for irrigation and drinking water for the region and requested Karnataka to release water to the Jurala project in a phased manner. The delegation also appealed to the Karnataka government to ensure adequate water availability so that farmers and residents do not face difficulties during the current period.
