CM Revanth Reddy Directs Officials to Stay Alert Amid Heavy Rain

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the Hyderabad administration to remain fully alert in view of the heavy rainfall in the city. Commissioners of the three municipal corporations, HYDRAA officials and police commissioners have been instructed to work in coordination and continuously monitor the situation. HYDRAA’s disaster management wing is responsible for coordinating emergency operations with police and local bodies across the Core Urban Region.

The Chief Minister directed officials to take immediate steps to prevent waterlogging on major roads, junctions and in residential areas. Staff and machinery should be deployed without delay wherever water accumulates. Officials were also asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply, prevent traffic disruptions and maintain special vigilance in low-lying and flood-prone areas. Emergency response teams and control rooms have been instructed to remain ready for immediate action.
