Internal differences within the Karnataka Congress appear to be intensifying once again. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s absence from the Diwali celebrations hosted by Rahul Gandhi in Delhi has triggered political speculation. Reports suggest that Siddaramaiah is dissatisfied with the manner in which the investigation into a sting operation is being conducted, adding another dimension to the ongoing tensions within the party.
Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra has alleged that Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was behind the sting video. MLC Rajendra has also expressed concern over discussions about replacing Siddaramaiah as Chief Minister, warning that such a move could push AHINDA communities away from the Congress. These developments have once again brought the party’s internal equations in Karnataka into focus.
