Harish Rao Accuses Telangana Government of Failing on Power Supply

Former Telangana minister and BRS leader T. Harish Rao criticised the Congress government over the state’s power situation during an interaction with the media at Telangana Bhavan. He alleged that the government had failed to manage electricity generation and supply effectively and claimed that several thermal power stations were operating below their capacity. Recent reports have also highlighted disruptions at Yadadri and other thermal plants amid concerns over coal availability and generation.

Harish Rao alleged that Yadadri Thermal Power Station was generating well below its installed capacity and raised concerns over the quality and availability of coal. He also referred to halted generation at Kothagudem and Bhadradri and questioned why adequate coal stocks were not available. On agricultural power supply, he claimed farmers were facing insufficient and interrupted electricity. He further criticised the government over Krishna water utilisation and alleged that Telangana was not using its share effectively.
