The Telangana Government has launched a Breakfast Scheme in government schools with the aim of improving student attendance and nutrition levels. As part of the pilot project, four districts have been selected for the initial phase of implementation. In Sangareddy district, the scheme has been introduced in Kandi and Patancheru mandals, where students will receive nutritious morning meals before classes begin.
The breakfast menu includes a variety of healthy food items such as idli, millet idli, dosa, poori, upma, sambar, and chutney. Officials believe the initiative will help improve students' concentration levels, support better health outcomes, and encourage higher enrollment in government schools. The government expects the scheme to significantly benefit children from economically weaker sections while enhancing the overall learning environment.
