Telangana Government Makes Key Announcement on Family Register

The Telangana Government has decided to introduce a Family Register to simplify citizen services and maintain family details in a unified official record. The Family Register Certificate will be issued through MeeSeva centres and the MeeSeva online portal/app, making it easier for citizens to access government services.

The Ration Card will serve as the primary basis for preparing the Family Register. Applicants can receive the certificate within two working days after applying through MeeSeva, subject to approval by the Tahsildar. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi welcomed the government's decision and expressed his support through a post on X.
