Singareni Gets a New Lease of Life Under Praja Government – Deputy CM Bhatti

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka described Singareni Collieries’ acquisition of the Manuguru PK OC-2 Dip Side coal block as a historic achievement. He said the state government’s continuous efforts over the last 30 months to protect and expand Singareni and strengthen Telangana’s energy security have yielded results. The coal block was secured in an online auction conducted by the Union Ministry of Coal.

Bhatti Vikramarka said the government is committed to protecting Singareni, a valuable asset of Telangana, by securing new coal blocks. He stated that the PK OC-2 Dip Side block contains around 120 million tonnes of quality G-8 grade coal, which can support power requirements for nearly 20 years. The project is expected to provide long term employment security to over 2,000 workers and boost the economic development of the Manuguru region.
