Former Indian Army Chief General (Retd.) M.M. Naravane has commented on recent US–Iran peace talks reportedly held in Islamabad, stating that Pakistan is attempting to project itself as a mediator. He said Pakistan is not a real mediator but merely acting as a “courier service” in the process.
Speaking to the media in Kolkata, Naravane emphasized that national security is closely linked with economic security. He said India must focus on self-reliance and strengthen domestic production and supply chains to withstand global uncertainties and future crises.
