Remove the HYDRAA Commissioner - High Court

The Telangana High Court made strong observations during the hearing of the Lothukunta land dispute case and directed the State Chief Secretary to remove HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath from his post. The court said it was unacceptable for a senior officer of Secretary rank to disregard court orders and stressed the need to appoint a qualified officer as the HYDRAA Commissioner.

Expressing concern over 63 contempt petitions, the High Court criticized HYDRAA's intervention in private lands at Lothukunta and observed that allowing Ranganath to continue in office would undermine the rule of law. During the hearing, Ranganath submitted an affidavit apologizing to the court, stating that he has full faith in the judiciary and denying allegations that HYDRAA personnel entered the disputed 40 acre private land.
