Political strategist turned politician Prashant Kishor registered a significant victory in the Bankipur Assembly by election in Bihar. He defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar by a margin of 19,324 votes, delivering a major political upset in a constituency long considered a BJP stronghold.
Bankipur had remained under the BJP's control since 1995, with Nabin Kishore and later Nitin Nabin winning the seat consecutively for nearly three decades. Prashant Kishor's victory has ended the BJP's long dominance in the constituency and is being viewed as a significant political development in Bihar.
