The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced a unified online permission system for festival committees planning to set up Ganesh mandaps and pandals during Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations. Under the initiative, launched with the support of the Andhra Pradesh Police Department, organisers across the state can apply online for the required permissions through ganeshutsav.net. The new system is aimed at simplifying the approval process and enabling organisers to seek permissions through a single digital platform instead of approaching multiple departments individually.
Officials said the permission process will be coordinated among the Police, Fire Services, Municipal, Electricity and Revenue departments. Once the approval is granted, organisers will receive a digital permission certificate carrying a QR code, and the entire service will be provided free of cost. Authorities have advised festival committees to make use of the online facility and submit their applications in advance to ensure the safe, peaceful and orderly conduct of Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations across Andhra Pradesh.
