This Is Not the Old City, It Is the Original City: CM Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated the crucial Chanchalguda–Santosh Nagar Steel Flyover in Hyderabad, built at a cost of Rs 620 crore and spanning 3.2 kilometres. After reviewing a photo exhibition showcasing the flyover’s designs, the Chief Minister inspected the structure while travelling in an open-top jeep along with public representatives. Addressing the inaugural gathering, Revanth Reddy criticised the previous government, alleging that it had merely performed the groundbreaking ceremony without spending funds on the bridge’s construction. He said the present government provided the necessary funds and completed the project. Calling the area the “Original City” rather than the “Old City,” he said he was familiar with every lane in the locality and directed officials to approve development works sought by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. He also announced Rs 25 crore for the development of a college proposed by local MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala.

The Chief Minister said the government was prepared to spend whatever was necessary to strengthen education and stressed that political ideologies may differ, but everyone remains united when it comes to patriotism. He recalled Asaduddin Owaisi’s support for the country during Operation Sindoor. Revanth Reddy announced plans to construct a three-kilometre cable bridge at Mir Alam Tank and complete the Metro connectivity from Gowliguda to Chandrayangutta before the next elections. He also outlined plans to build one lakh Indiramma houses in Hyderabad, expand the Metro towards LB Nagar, Chandrayangutta, Rajendranagar and Shamshabad, and develop the Musi Riverfront to promote a night economy and create employment opportunities. Emphasising communal harmony, he said development should be the sole priority after elections and called for collective efforts to transform Hyderabad into a stronger and more developed city.
