AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi made notable remarks at the inauguration of the newly constructed Saidabad Steel Flyover, built at a cost of Rs 620 crore between Nalgonda X Roads and the Santosh Nagar Owaisi Junction in Hyderabad. He said the opening of the flyover would provide major relief to commuters in the Santosh Nagar and DRDO routes, particularly residents of the Old City who have faced severe traffic congestion for years. Owaisi alleged that although the previous BRS government had laid the foundation stone for the project, it failed to release the funds needed to complete the construction. He thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for allocating Rs 620 crore and ensuring the speedy completion of the project.
Owaisi also expressed confidence that the proposed Metro extension from Jubilee Bus Station to Falaknuma would be completed soon. He recalled Revanth Reddy’s earlier promise to the people of Falaknuma that the two would one day travel together on the Metro to the area. Addressing Congress leaders present at the event, Owaisi clarified that his support was for Revanth Reddy’s leadership and not for the Congress party. He said Hyderabad and Telangana were witnessing rapid development under Revanth Reddy’s administration and urged the Chief Minister to continue his leadership style and work towards giving Telangana a distinctive position in the country.
