

India registered a dominant 137-run victory over Hong Kong in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup, delivering an impressive all-round performance. Chasing a challenging target of 194, Hong Kong’s batting line-up collapsed under pressure and was bowled out for just 56 runs in 16.2 overs. Natasha Miles scored 15 runs, while Marina Lamplough added 14, but the remaining batters failed to make a significant contribution. Deepti Sharma led India’s bowling attack with three wickets, while Prema Rawat, Nandani Sharma and Sree Charani claimed two wickets each to dismantle the Hong Kong innings.
Earlier, India posted a commanding total of 193 for five in their 20 overs, powered by a magnificent century from Smriti Mandhana, who scored 124 runs. Shafali Verma contributed 28 runs, while Pratika Rawal scored 10, Richa Ghosh made 11 and Harmanpreet Kaur added 10. For Hong Kong, Marina picked up two wickets, while Ruchita Venkatesh and Joyleen Kaur claimed one wicket each. With a brilliant batting display followed by a clinical bowling performance, India sealed a comprehensive victory and underlined their dominance in the tournament.
