Komatireddy Venkata Reddy Announces Major Road Development Plans

Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy said the Congress led people’s government will complete three years in office by December and claimed that it is implementing several schemes that are not available elsewhere in the country. Speaking to ABN Andhra Jyothy on Monday, he said development works worth ₹1,000 crore would be taken up in Nalgonda. He also announced plans to construct double roads connecting every mandal headquarters with district headquarters within two years, with HAM road projects being undertaken through HUDCO loans.

The minister said roads play a crucial role in the state’s overall development. He announced that tenders for the six laning of the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway, estimated at ₹12,073 crore, would be invited next month, with work scheduled to begin in January and be completed within 18 months. Komatireddy also said that if BRS working president KTR undertakes a padayatra in Nalgonda district, he would take up a similar march.
