Union Minister Kishan Reddy said Hyderabad enjoys a level of recognition in the real estate sector comparable to the recognition Prime Minister Narendra Modi commands nationally. The three-day Property Show organised by NAREDCO (National Real Estate Development Council) at HITEX, Madhapur, concluded on Sunday. Addressing the closing ceremony as the chief guest, Kishan Reddy said Hyderabad should be developed into a city free from land mafias and land encroachments. He pointed out that builders and property buyers often face difficulties due to court disputes after acquiring land for development. He called for coordinated efforts by the government, judiciary and NAREDCO to resolve such issues. He also stressed the need to expand the real estate sector into tier-2 cities and encourage smaller developers to strengthen buyers' confidence.
Kishan Reddy assured that the Centre would extend all possible support for the construction of the Regional Ring Road, which is expected to benefit nearly half of Telangana's population. He said the completion of the project would create fresh opportunities for real estate development. Highlighting the Centre's focus on infrastructure, he noted that preliminary work was underway on three major bullet train corridors aimed at improving Hyderabad's connectivity. He also said the Centre was positive about the second phase of Hyderabad Metro. Later, he presented awards to organisations that had set up outstanding stalls at the Property Show. NAREDCO NextGen president Ravikanth Reddy, Telangana president K. Sridhar Reddy, general secretary R. Venkateswara Rao and other representatives attended the event.
