Key Decision Taken on Pawan Kalyan’s Orders

Acting on the directives of Pawan Kalyan, the state government has constituted a five-member high-powered committee to study tiger conservation and management measures. The move follows the recent suspicious death of a tigress in the Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve, one of the largest tiger habitats in the country. The committee has been tasked with conducting a comprehensive field-level review and submitting a detailed report on conservation strategies.

The committee includes forest department advisor P. Mallikarjuna Rao, Additional PCCF Rahul Pandey, WWF member B. Rajasekhar, Conservation for Tiger Society representative Imran Siddiqui, and wildlife scientist Dr. M. Naveen Kumar. They have been directed to assess threats to tiger populations, recommend preventive measures, strengthen infrastructure, and enhance the use of modern technology. The government reiterated its commitment to wildlife conservation and biodiversity protection.
