During the Telangana Assembly discussion on Section 22A lands, Jubilee Hills MLA Naveen Kumar Yadav raised the issue of actor Jr NTR’s land holdings. He alleged that during the previous BRS government, land records were manipulated through the Dharani portal and pattas were created for government lands. Referring to land in Survey Numbers 134 and 135 in Edulanagulapalli village of Ramachandrapuram mandal in Sangareddy district, Yadav alleged that around 150 acres were transferred to Jr NTR and others. He demanded a comprehensive inquiry and action against those responsible. These remain allegations made by the MLA and have not been established as facts.
The issue came up during the broader Assembly debate over Section 22A prohibited lands, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also raising allegations concerning land records and the previous administration. Reports said the government is examining the 22A issue and has proposed measures to address disputes involving prohibited properties. Revanth Reddy has also stated in the Assembly that a significant portion of private land currently on the prohibited list genuinely belongs to its present owners. The allegations involving Jr NTR’s land therefore remain subject to verification through official records and any further inquiry.
