Iran has predicted that Israel will strongly oppose and attempt to block the proposed nuclear agreement between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail stated that Israel would go to any extent to prevent nuclear capabilities from reaching West Asian nations. He emphasized that peaceful use of nuclear energy is the right of every country and warned that Iran would not bow to US pressure, asserting its commitment to self-defense.
He further stated that Iran would not allow the United States to decide between peace and war in the region. Responding to questions about rising tensions around the Strait of Hormuz despite temporary calm between the US and Iran, he said national interests remain Iran’s top priority. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the US has agreed to support Saudi Arabia with uranium for civilian purposes under a 30-year deal approved by former President Donald Trump. US officials clarified that the agreement would not contribute to nuclear weapons proliferation, but Iran insists Israel will attempt to derail it.
