

The southwest monsoon has become active and is steadily moving across Andhra Pradesh, extending up to Kalingapatnam in Srikakulam district, according to the Visakhapatnam Meteorological Centre. Weather officials have forecast heavy rainfall for several districts over the next two days.
On Day 1, heavy rain warning (yellow alert) has been issued for Alluri Sitharama Raju, Konaseema, West Godavari, Krishna, Prakasam, and Nellore districts. On Day 2, heavy rains are likely in Alluri, Eluru, NTR, Krishna, Nandyal, YSR, Annamayya, and Tirupati districts. Strong winds reaching 50–60 kmph are expected along the coastal region. Heatwave conditions may also prevail in some areas. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea, and the public has been urged to remain alert.
