In a significant development in the NEET-UG question paper leak case, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has reserved its order on the framing of charges against the accused. The court is scheduled to pronounce its order on November 18. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has named 14 people as accused in the case. The court’s decision will determine the next step in the proceedings concerning the formal framing of charges.
The CBI filed a chargesheet against 13 accused in July 2026 and subsequently submitted a supplementary chargesheet against the 14th accused, Sheshrao Bajrang Suryavanshi. The court took cognisance of the main chargesheet in August 2026. The CBI registered the case in May 2026 to investigate allegations of a leak of the NEET-UG question paper. The proceedings are now awaiting the court’s order on the framing of charges.
