Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has responded to criticism of her appearance, saying that physical changes after childbirth are natural and should not become a reason for body shaming. Recently, photographs of Katrina attending an Ambani family Ganesh Chaturthi celebration with her husband, Vicky Kaushal, drew online criticism, with some users commenting on her weight. Speaking in a recent interview, the actress questioned why women are expected to return to their pre-pregnancy appearance. She described motherhood as a step forward in life and said she had fulfilled a deeply cherished wish.

Katrina said becoming a mother marks a beautiful new phase of her life and that she is enjoying the experience rather than wanting to go back to how things were before. She added that she understands her body and knows when she feels active and fit. Katrina and Vicky Kaushal married on December 9, 2021, after dating for several years. The couple welcomed their son on November 7, 2025.
