Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference with district collectors and officials to review the situation following Cyclone Arnab. He directed officials to continue working until normal conditions are fully restored on the ground. Officials informed him that most cyclone-affected areas had returned to normal, except for a few locations. The Chief Minister instructed them to submit a preliminary report on the cyclone damage that day and expedite compensation for affected people. He also urged officials to stand by the public during natural disasters and commended them for their effective response.
Chandrababu directed officials to immediately clear fallen trees from roads and regularly remove debris accumulated due to the cyclone. He called for faster compensation for affected people, excluding crop-loss cases for the time being. To assess agricultural damage quickly, he asked officials to use technology and prepare farmer-wise records. He also instructed them to explore the possibility of replanting coconut trees and other horticultural crops, and to extend applicable government schemes to help farmers recover their agricultural and horticultural losses.
