The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is preparing for another important mission aimed at strengthening indigenous space technology. The NVS-03 satellite, designed to enhance India’s regional satellite navigation system, NavIC, is scheduled to be launched aboard the GSLV-F18 rocket at 11:51 p.m. on October 30. The launch is planned from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
NavIC plays an important role in providing positioning and navigation services across India and surrounding regions. The addition of the NVS-03 satellite is expected to help improve the system’s capabilities. By advancing home-grown navigation technology, ISRO aims to strengthen India’s space infrastructure, improve the availability of navigation services and reduce reliance on foreign systems for critical applications.
