The cyclone has caused extensive damage in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, leaving farmers facing significant losses. Paddy crops across approximately 1.26 lakh acres have reportedly been flattened, while banana, coconut, papaya and other horticultural crops have suffered severe damage across thousands of acres. The widespread crop destruction has raised concerns among farmers, with assessments needed to determine the extent of the losses and identify the support required by affected agricultural communities.
More than 8,000 electricity poles have reportedly collapsed due to the cyclone, disrupting power supply in several areas. Restoration work is underway to repair the damaged infrastructure and resume electricity services. Meanwhile, teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have removed fallen trees from roads as part of ongoing relief and clearance operations. Efforts are continuing to restore normal movement and essential services across the affected areas.
