Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a teleconference with district collectors and senior officials from the state secretariat to review the situation following Cyclone Arnab and assess the ongoing relief and restoration measures. He instructed officials to continue working until normal conditions were fully restored at the ground level. The Chief Minister also directed them to submit a preliminary report on the damage caused by the cyclone on Thursday. As the government has already issued an order regarding compensation, he called for immediate payments to affected people, excluding crop-loss claims until the assessment process is completed.
The Chief Minister stressed the need for quick and transparent assessments of agricultural losses using advanced technology, with detailed records prepared for each farmer. He also asked officials to explore the possibility of replanting damaged coconut trees and other horticultural crops and to provide assistance through available government schemes. To restore normal movement, officials were instructed to remove fallen trees and accumulated debris from roads without delay. Chandrababu Naidu appreciated the officials who had worked effectively during the disaster and assured affected people that the government would provide all possible assistance.
