The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a major relief for weavers applying under the Nethanna Bharosa pension scheme. Handloom and Textiles Minister Savitha said applicants will no longer be required to submit a bank account statement as part of the application process. Instead, they can submit a Master Weaver certificate along with their wage details.
The minister said the relaxation will make the application process easier for eligible weavers and help remove difficulties they have been facing. She also assured that all eligible weavers who have completed 50 years of age will receive pensions. The government is committed to supporting weavers and providing financial security to their families, she added.
