The impact of Cyclone Arnab is being felt in parts of Andhra Pradesh, with rainfall reported in several areas and rough seas along the coast. In Uppada village of U. Kothapalli mandal in Kakinada district, strong waves have caused coastal erosion. The waves are surging over a recently constructed high stone embankment, sending rocks onto the beach road and disrupting vehicular movement.
Meanwhile, several areas in North Andhra are experiencing rainfall. In Srikakulam district, some locations have reported rain accompanied by strong winds. Light rainfall has been reported in Kaviti, Kanchili, Sompeta, Palasa, Tekkali, Pathapatnam, Narasannapeta, Srikakulam, Gara, Laveru and Amadalavalasa. The rough sea conditions and rainfall are affecting coastal areas, with local conditions requiring close monitoring.
