Following the success of Thandel, expectations are rising for Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Vrushakarma. Directed by Karthik Dandu, who earned recognition with Virupaksha, the film is being developed as an adventure story featuring mythological elements. The project is jointly produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar on a lavish budget. The makers have reportedly announced that Dil Raju’s SVC Releases has acquired the theatrical distribution rights for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. With its distribution experience and strong theatre network, the company is expected to support the film’s release. Reports also suggest that the digital and satellite rights have attracted attractive offers, increasing interest in the project among trade circles.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Vrushakarma, Nithiin’s Alias Rukmini and Vishwak Sen’s Legacy may all arrive in theatres on December 4. If the three films release on the same day, theatre allocation could become a crucial factor, particularly in major centres. With Vrushakarma planned for release in five languages, the makers will also need to strengthen promotions in other regions. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead, while Laapataa Ladies fame Sparsh Shrivastava is set to appear as the antagonist. Promotional activities are expected to gain momentum in November, and audiences are keen to see how much of the film’s mystery the trailer will reveal.
