Cyberabad Police have solved the high-profile theft case reported at a villa in Gachibowli’s Hill Ridge Villas and arrested four individuals, including a Nepalese couple allegedly involved in the crime. Police recovered 7.8 kilograms of gold ornaments and 1.5 kilograms of silver articles from the accused. According to investigators, Kamal Shahi and Vimala Shahi, who were employed as domestic workers at the residence of businessman Prakash Pai, allegedly planned and executed the theft after learning that the family had traveled to Mumbai on June 6.
Police said the couple entered the house during the night, stole the valuables, and fled by train from Secunderabad towards Uttar Pradesh. Acting on intelligence shared by Cyberabad Police, law enforcement agencies in northern states intercepted and detained the suspects. Investigators revealed that two other individuals allegedly assisted in planning the crime. One suspect, Karan Bishwakarma, has been arrested, while another accused, Suresh, remains absconding. Authorities tracked the suspects using mobile phone and SIM card clues recovered during the investigation, eventually leading to their arrest and the recovery of the stolen property.
