The Vasishta Godavari river near Narasapuram in West Godavari district has witnessed a rise in flood intensity due to heavy inflows from upstream areas. Authorities have issued alerts and temporarily suspended boat services between Narasapuram and Sakhinetipalli. Floodwater has reached the Kanakayalanka causeway, affecting movement in the region.
Officials have advised people living in island villages and low-lying areas to remain cautious. Essential supplies have been kept ready as a precautionary measure, while authorities are continuously monitoring the flood situation and taking necessary steps to manage the impact.
