Fire Breaks Out in Vande Bharat Express at Vijayawada, Major Mishap Averted

A fire incident was reported in the C4 coach of the Vande Bharat Express travelling from Narsapur to Chennai at Vijayawada railway station on Wednesday. The incident triggered panic among passengers, who immediately got down from the coach after noticing the flames. Railway station staff responded promptly and brought the fire under control, averting a major mishap. The Railway Department later issued a clarification regarding the incident.

According to the Railway Department, Vande Bharat Express train number 20678 arrived at Vijayawada railway station at around 5 pm on Wednesday. Around the same time, railway staff detected a hot axle in the C4 coach. The issue was identified promptly and necessary action was taken to control the situation. Railway authorities are examining the incident and its circumstances.
