BCCI Announces Venue for IPL 2027 Auction

The BCCI has made a key announcement regarding the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2027 auction. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that the auction will be held in India this year. Goa has been chosen as the venue, with the auction scheduled to take place in December. Saikia noted that the IPL auction had been held overseas for the past three years, including in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and that the event will return to an Indian venue this year.

Meanwhile, the venue for the multi-day match between the India A and Australia A women’s teams, scheduled from September 29 to October 2, has been shifted from Dharamsala to Mohali due to weather conditions. Saikia said Dharamsala had been receiving heavy rainfall, making it unsuitable for hosting the match. The BCCI therefore decided to move the fixtures to Mohali.
