Telangana DGP C.V. Anand Visits Khairatabad Ganesh Idol

Telangana DGP C.V. Anand visited the Khairatabad Maha Ganapati on Thursday and offered prayers, wishing peace, prosperity and well-being for the people of the state. He said extensive arrangements had been made in coordination with various departments to ensure that the Ganesh immersion processions are conducted peacefully and safely. Recalling his 13-year association with the Khairatabad Ganesh celebrations since his tenure as DCP, Central Zone, Anand thanked the festival committee members, police personnel and officials of various government departments for their cooperation.

With the 10-day Ganesh festival entering its final phase, around 30,000 police personnel have been deployed across Hyderabad for security, crowd management and traffic regulation. Anand said the police were coordinating with the GHMC, Electricity, Irrigation and other departments, while arrangements had been made at Hussainsagar and other immersion points. SHE Teams and Task Force personnel have also been deployed to ensure women’s safety and prevent theft and harassment. The DGP urged organisers and devotees to follow Supreme Court guidelines on DJs and crackers and celebrate responsibly in a peaceful atmosphere.
