Actress Aditi Rao Hydari, who stars alongside Pankaj Tripathi in the romantic comedy-drama 'Parivaarik Manoranjan', has shared her views on filmmaking and film promotions. The film has completed shooting and is set for a direct OTT release on SonyLIV from November 13. During a recent promotional interaction, Aditi compared filmmaking and marketing to cooking, saying that promotion alone cannot make up for a poorly prepared story.
She explained that just as a dish such as khichdi or biryani needs the right ingredients and sufficient time to turn out well, a film also requires careful preparation and genuine effort. Simply adding attractive garnishing cannot make an undercooked dish enjoyable, she noted. Aditi added that filmmakers should love their stories and actors and work with complete honesty. She also pointed out that several respected filmmakers of earlier generations followed their own convictions instead of chasing market trends. According to her, a good story deserves to be told well, and even if a film does not perform strongly at the time of its release, quality content can earn lasting recognition.
