Priyanka Chopra Backs Another Indian Film After Long Break, But Won’t Act in It

Global star Priyanka Chopra is making her presence felt in Indian cinema again after a long break. Following The Sky Is Pink in 2019, she has not appeared in another Indian film, choosing instead to focus on international projects. Despite receiving several offers, Priyanka has reportedly been selective about her choices. At present, SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film Varanasi is the only Indian project she has agreed to act in.

Meanwhile, Priyanka is also expanding her work as a producer through her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures. She has officially announced Ventilator 2, a sequel to the successful 2016 Marathi film Ventilator. Rajesh Mapuskar, who directed the original, will helm the sequel as well. Priyanka Chopra, her mother Dr. Madhu Chopra and Rajesh Mapuskar are jointly producing the film. However, Priyanka will not act in it. The sequel is expected to reach theatres in 2027.
