The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy successfully conducted a naval short-range anti-ship missile test in the Bay of Bengal along the Odisha coast, Navy sources said on Wednesday. Two missiles were launched from a naval helicopter as part of the trial.
The exercise was monitored by senior DRDO scientists along with personnel from the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the teams for the successful test and said it will significantly enhance future defence capabilities.
